Who we are

COTG is 1000% committed to our four core principles:

1) Purpose: Our mission is to put more fun, meaningful, and cool stuff into the world. Profits don’t steer us.

2) Quality: We strive for unique and high-quality experiences. We never compromise on the care, detail, rigor, or creativity that goes into our work.

3) Value: We don’t short customers to upsell them later. We provide complete experiences up front every time, and anything extra is either truly an after-the-fact idea or purely aesthetic.

4) Ethics: We treat people ethically and uphold a high standard of integrity, transparency, inclusivity, sustainability, and general humanity.

Colosseum of the Gods (COTG) was conceived in the summer of 2009 by childhood best friends Jonathan Sisler and Antonio R. Hernandez after having the time of their lives customizing video game characters in Soul Calibur III. Ever since then, we’ve shared an intense love for creativity – games, stories, music, film, comedy – along with a passion for problem solving, critical thinking, and the nitty gritty technical details of the creative process. Over the past 15 years, our ideas and projects overflowed into something that we finally wanted to share. So in 2024, we founded COTG!

Why board games?

We’ve always loved board games. They come in a physical box, fit on a shelf, and somehow always fostered such intense creativity, imagination, teamwork, competition, and social interaction between players. Over time, we started to find ourselves staying awake late at night, brainstorming how we might make the game we just played more fun, balanced, interesting, or immersive. We found ourselves fumbling through rulebooks, wishing themes were more fully brought to life, imposing our own ideas onto games, and ultimately talking more and more about trying our own hands at it. Well, here we are, doing just that!

A Note on Ethics

As described in our core principles, we value people and humanity. We feel that typical business practices often do not align with these values. We are deeply committed to operating a responsible business adhering to high standards of ethics and sustainability, simply because it is the right thing to do.
